Hello All,

What a great Christmas! Hope you all enjoyed the big day.

Still not got any crafting done, i am desperate to do so but so much to do - madness.

Just wanted to pop on and say thank you to the lovely ladies of mse, i followed a thread about Towel cakes and attempted a creation for my mum for Christmas.

I was received by my mum with a tear in her eye, she LOVED IT, so much in fact she has not opened it yet as needs to show her friends first!! the show off!! She has also made my step father take photo's of the cake for her to keep the memory.

Everyone loved it, my other half thought i had bought it like that, not slaved over making it, lol and my auntie has put in an order for a birthday next year!!

Was well worth the effort, i did however buy way to much filling for the cake so she had extra to open as well.

Would recommend everyone have a go!! Will def be doing more!!

Wanted to show you the end result

elf antics

These are some pics of our elf antics!!

Snow Toes our Elf

This is Snow Toes our Elf.

So far he has brought our Christmas tree and decorations to make him feel at home, left advent calenders, had a midnight tea party with the toys, had a snowball fight with iggle piggle and upsy daisy, been found in the bathroom tangled in the loo roll, climbed the tree and replaced the star at the top!, decorated the tree with Tamsins nik niks and Morgans Socks, tried to log on to tamsins computer to email santa and his elf friends and made his way upstairs into bed with Tamsin for a cwtch.

I have taken pics and cant wait to make a scrapbook with her, and cant wait till Morgan is old enough to understand it all!!

I am starting to run low on ideas so any offers welcome!!!!

Christmas Eve Hamper

Tamsin has a little elf to visit this mth, to ensure she is behaving ready for father christmas!

To soften the blow of him leaving i am putting her together a Christmas Eve hamper, when its finished i will take a pic.

I have however finished my Snowman Soup and Reindeer food for the hamper. Tamsin LOVES hot chocolate so this should be a winner.

I found the idea last year but to late to put it into action, this year i have finished the production line and have already given one of many to my friend in work to cheer him up and he loved it, so VERY happy!!!

I have also made Reindeer food for the kiddies next door on Christmas eve, they are 5and so excited!!

My Christmas Towel Cake

I am very pleased with the outcome of this.

I found a thread on MSE (my fave place!) dedicated to towel cakes for all occasions an adaption of nappy cakes. I really wanted to try one so decided my mum would be getting on for Christmas!!

She loves Gold, i found a Gold platter plate in Asda's along with some goldish cream towels. I used a bath towel and a hand towel. It took me ages to fit all the bits and bods inside, inf act i had too much so she has an extra pesssie bag from the kids.

Inside the cake is a bottle of Lambrini (my mother is the ultimate lambrini girl) a new pair of PJ's the only thing she asked for, a sanctuary gift set, a small photo frame, 12 lovely gold scented tea light candles, 1 M&S gift card, a new make up bag filled with No 7 goodies (from boots vouchers or glitches) and poking out the top is a new pair of slippers.

I had the gold wired ribbon from last year pressie wrapping event so used that to hold the towels in place. I took me ages to wrap the cake as my cellophane wasn't wide enough, i had to stick 2 pieces together and spend so long making it look just right!!.

I found a gorgeous glass and gold Christmas decoration in Asda, so have added that to the front for something extra than my gold curled ribbon.

When i fix my printer i need to sort out the ingredients tag then its all done!!

Hope she likes it!
