In a Fix!

Hello Bloggers,

Bless my neighbour yesterday. He was struck by the 'Oh *$%^ Its My Wedding Anniversary Today And I Don't Have A Card!!!!!' problem.

He asked my other half to pick him up a card from Tesco whilst out - I can do better than that he said i will ask Sherie to make you one.

My Neighbours know i make cards and he was very please with the result....

Its a bit basic as i only had 30mins to put my thinking cap on tightly and hand over the finished product before leaving for work!!

Hope it kept him out of the Doghouse

Birthday Mini Word Book

Sorry Bloggers this is a long post and Image heavy.

Likewise to my Aunt (who loved her Birthday Mini Album - posted back in June) i wanted to give my Mum something Handmade to go with her presents.

I bought one of the new Papermaina word books from Ebay (i am trying to stay out of the Range - i spend way to much).

I didn't really have a final image in my mind just let it flow and this is how it ended up....

I used the Papermaina papers, family pictures, Glitter transfers (love them) gems, flowers, buttons, ribbons, frames, felt butterflies and some glass pendants to hang from the front. I did ink the edges of the pages but you cant see it that well in the photo's.

The first page is a simple, no pics as two small a space.

Inside most other pages have a picture and then state how my Mother is connected to the picture..so a picture of my Mum (on a extra acetate page), i added simple words to the flowers like, Special, Lovely and Beautiful Friend.

This page has a picture of my Grandparents and the word Daughter.

Now the pages get to long to fit in one shot!!

Had to fit in a felt butterfly - love them.

This is an OLD picture of me and my brother together, a rare picture of me that i like, lol.

The word Mother, with a first for me, i tried to make a flower out of lace i am not sure it worked but i still like it. Followed by two pictures of my Mum and both me and my brother. I love the little frames -i had a box full of different bit and bods by making memories from Hobbycraft in the sale for a pound - so cute!

This page holds a picture of my Mum and my Children just after little Morgan was born, seems like an age ago! and very Simple, the Word Grandmother.

This page has a shaker box full of clear hearts and the words love to show off the word Wife, i do not have a great picture of my mum and Steve so have left the following page blank for her to fill in frame. (however if Steve is back in the country soon i may ask him for one - if i ask my mum directly she will know i am up to something and she lives to far away to snoop one!)

The back of the album. A basic frame with a picture of the girls together, My Nan, My Mum, My Daughter and Me. The wording ' 4 generations'. I have not added to many embellishments to this page a it may get a bit of a wearing being so exposed.

That took ages to upload!

Thanks for stopping by XX

Birthday Boys

The Twins next door are 6 today. We have lived here three years and they were little dots when we moved in, they have so quickly grown into little men and are very funny.

Children's cards i find easier than mens but i still had to have a good ponder over what to create.

Being Twins they have everything the same - to save mum the hassle i suppose but i decided to make two different cards as they are so different in personality.

Excuse more of my bad pictures...

This is for Tyler, the more laid back of the pair....

I used the Smirk decoupage pad and matching papers. Added some puffy monster stickers from paperchase and finally transferred the words 'super hero Tyler'.

This is for Kal, the more boy stress of the pair....

Again i used the Smirk decoupage pad and matching papers. I added for puffy space stickers from the poundland (2 huge sheets of stickers for a pound - bargain!) I had to add eyes to the spaceman it was freaking me out a little bit!! Finally transferred the words 'Space Man Kal'. You cant see in the picture but the paper has little white traces over it like a plane leaves in sky - cute.

Hope they like them!!

Production line

Well lovely bloggers. I am not sure what has happened to me today, i had spare time?? with all chores done and children amused i managed to spend a few hours this afternoon to sit and create - THE WONDERS A LITTLE BIT OF CRAFTING TIME HAS IS AMAZING!!

I am very pleased, i had a 'finish it Wednesday' and finally finished a birthday mini word album for part of my mothers birthday present this month, her two birthday cards also 2 cards for the twins next door who are 6 on Sunday!

I wont overload you with all the creations in one go we will be here all night!

These are the cards for my Mother:

Not the best pictures sorry...

This one is from me and OH. My mum is all about Gold so this card is all about gold. I have to say i shamefully pinched the idea out of an old creativity magazine have changed is slightly but the basic idea is the same. I used the Forever Friends Die cut pack of gold greetings/messages and my new fast favourite outline stickers!!

This one is from the children. The picture does not do it justice. I found these cute little champagne bottles and champagne flutes in Hobbycraft, they came with 'A Toast' greeting that is soo cute. I like that this card is simple.

Will show you the Birthday Mini Album i made her next post

Thanks for dropping by

Unloved blog

Hello Bloggers,

I must have one of the most Unloved blogs in blogland.

Things have been a bit upside down here for a while, i have been feeling a little overwhelmed with life - unsure why which makes me feel guilty and depressed :(

I have found it hard to keep on top of things such as work, kids, house, my sanity!!

We recently returned from a mini holiday to Tenby. I LOVE TENBY and a feeling a very much de-stressed hope it stays that way!

While there i found a lovely little handmade gift shop, could have bought everything but managed to restrain myself to just these two lovely little plaques to hang in the kitchen for the children's art work from school/nursery.

After sending so much time clearing out my craft stash i actually sat down today to make a card for my step fathers birthday. Why are men's cards so hard? Not that in love with it but it will have to do short term as i have RUN OUT of glue - Crafters Nightmare!!

I am very pleased with the efforts in my purge of goodies, i can actually see what i have to play with now. I managed to fully go through the goodies from the car boot sale ages ago and have parted with things that may be used one day or are not my style. I gave the HUGE and i mean HUGE box of goodies to my Aunt who is constantly raising money for one charity or another with her crafting/baking.

Shopping

Hello Strangers,

Did some shopping today!!

Yes more stash to add to the huge pile of bits and bobs i am meant to be sorting through to get some order. I keep getting it all out to sort and then get so overwhelmed don't know where to start - any tips to help me with my hoarding or how to be better organised will be very welcome!!!!! PLEASE!!!!

HOBBYCRAFT was my destination of choice. Sale stuff was just dumped randomly in three display boxes so deep and crammed with crap that things were getting damaged - so i soon got fed up of that but still picked up a fair bit.

Forever friends kit was reduced to just over a fiver!! love them!!
A papermania acrylic mini album, went through for £5.49!! (half price ish)
Making memories chipboard's, acetate glitter bits and bob and notebook all reduced to 99p
Finally some glitter letters 1.99

These are the other bits i had to pick up for a Birthday project - loving lace at the moment.

I forgot to take pics of the Fathers day cards and since i have sealed them ready for tomorrow i will have to update after the big day.

Thanks for reading :)
