or
Hello Blogland and all you lovely bloggers..

Well i have had NO MOJO for months and i mean NO, Nothing, Zero mojo to craft at all.

I have not even looked at the craft stash and have no energy or motivation :(

So as i have been missing in action for an age, i thought i would share a cake that my friend in work handmade for my children's birthday this week.

My children are 6 and 4 and their birthday is the same day, they could not agree on a theme until Halloween was mentioned and with it being so close it was perfect.

We love Halloween in this house, just a shame I'm missing my mojo as this is a great time of year!

I think my friend did a fantastic job!!

I hope you are all well and i am now off for a nose around blogland to try inspire myself!

To throw away or not?

Hello Bloggers,

I am slowly getting my mojo back. I am currently working on some MORE mini albums , one for each child with some of my fave pictures to date. Have to get the Valentines cards done so will post soon.

I am so jealous of all those lucky scrappers who have rooms dedicated to the love of their hobby, i have a shelf in the bottom of the wardrobe!

I live in a three bedroom house, every bedroom is occupied and the house doesn't have any nooks of crannies to be inventive - really need to come up with a master plan as to actually get some crafting done i need to drag it all out and forget what goodies i have.

I have been trying to go through my stash and be ruthless as i did have a huge cull about 6 mths ago. I don't throw the bits i no longer want away, i give them to my auntie who makes a lot for charity and is involved in many activities in her local village and really appreciates the goody bags i send.

I have spent so long stroking papers this week! am i alone in this? spent ages pondering will i use it over many items that i have had since i started card making in 2007ish and still haven't used - so most likely not going to now.

My huge quandary is paper scraps!!

I tend to put the scraps in one box with intention to use but forget about them.

How do you deal with paper scraps? Also any ideas about how to use them up would be great!!

Lost Mojo - anybody seen it?

Hello Bloggers,

Wow its been HOW LONG since i last posted?!

I have well and truly lost my mojo, have done NO crafting for weeks.

I am not a fan of new year it makes me quiet depressed and i have been trying to de-clutter the house as i so want  to make the house homely instead of a plastic fantastic version of toys r us and student digs!.

I have been sorting my stash but have no urge to actually make anything, that was until i saw the following paper from DCVW Immortal inspired by Twilight and i LOVE Twilight!

I so need this but seems as though it is only available in the U.S. :(

Hope to find my mojo soon and have some goodies to show you

Shopping

Hello Bloggers,

I have been telling myself for ages, 'i do NOT need anymore stash' - however do you ever just get this compulsion that you have to go buy some lushness to cheer you up?
Well i got this compulsion in a huge wave, 1 hr later, 1 bag of goodies in hand and 50quid poorer
(how did that happen 50.00 pound at the Range)
I  have felt terrible ever since but playing with my new goodies is going some way to cheer me up again!

I picked up this collector's pack as i am making a Christmas mini for the children, a home for all the photos of when our little Elf comes to visit on December 1st and needed so better papers than what was left in my stash...

The pack was 10.00 but has SOOOOOOO much in it, tones of papers, tones of decoupage,  waterfall cards, die cuts, boxes, alpha stickers, tags the list goes on well worth the money. I picked up and extra alpha set and brads to match to help hold the Waterfall cards in place

As you guessed i heart forever friends - so this was a must for me to make quick cards for my box so I'm not caught short - its suited for men, women and children. It was 15.00 but i would spend that on a goody bag so that justified it for me.

I have wanted to try the little mini card springs for a while, have used them already - fab!
Then some flowers and 8x8 cards for a change.

Lastly i thought i would try some squidgy glue and my First circle Punch (i don't have many punches) I'm already wondering how did i cope without this?!

I did also by a bare basics mini album as i like to keep one in my stash in case i get an urge to start something new - however i currently have a few projects on the go so could be a while before its opened.

Has anyone got the new Creativity Mag? I devoured it yesterday, cant wait for the new issue - County Companions being released i LOVE the more than the Forever Friends teddy - CANT WAIT

Haunted House

Hello Bloggers

This is my Halloween in Wonderland Haunted House, it is an exploding box made out of envelopes. If you haven't figured it out by now i Love Laura from The Paper Trail this was a kit purchased and blogged previously from her Etsy store - i heart Etsy!.

I like the finished house but not quite in love with it, needs some tweaks but I'm getting all Halloweened out so will leave it for now save the risk of spoiling it and go back to and finish off when i can, its for me to kept so no rush.

Here are the remaining sides...

Not sure about this side, i wanted the tree to pop out but it didn't end up how i planned.

All the sides are meant to have pockets like this one but the inside has so much space for tags etc... i didn't mind losing a few if it meant keeping Alice in full form as above.

This is the explosion when you take the roof off, hidden pockets and tags everywhere.

Some close ups of the inside. I just love the little decks of cards as below!

Currently these remaining cards sit as a pack to look through in the centre - i laced the chain with ribbon and like the outcome. I think i am going to make a 3D pumpkin for the centre and attach these cards to the outside of my house (some how) - need to get some Orange card first and see how that plan turns out.

Talking of pumpkins, how do you like mine?

After work tomorrow have to carve the Funny face my daughter wants in hers and we have some bat shaped cookies to decorate :)

Wish me luck

Halloween

Hello Bloggers,

Halloween 7 sleeps!!

I got the Halloween decs out today, don't have many (need to fix that) the children got so hypa Tamsin has been dressed up as a Witch ever since!

I wish we lived overseas where Halloween is a huge holiday I LOVE HALLOWEEN.

My Etsy order came recently i was sooooo excited i began crafting with it straight away - still need to finish off the exploding Halloween house but will try to post by Sunday

The kit was amazing - Thanks Laura (the paper trail)

The Envelopes and card stock

Stickers/Labels

Ribbons, Flowers - love Prima!

The Gorjuss papers - Halloween in wonderland. I so need to buy the full Paper Pack!.

How cute are these little deck of cards...

These mini advertisement's i love...

As i said hope to post my finished project by Sunday.

Today i made some other bits and bobs to add to the decorations...

I have seen these mini Witches brooms on youtube and blog hopping (sorry i totally forgot where)
Inside the shredded bag is another brown paper bag, full to the brim with sweets - the bags are bunched together and secured with raffia - for the handle is a stick i found on the school run, much to Tamsin's bemusement - lol

Was planning to make a few but im not sure of the finished outcome, my other half didn't quite get what it was - however i think its a cute one off and it sit happily on my shelf.

The following i made for the kids next door, a change from a mini bag of sweets direct from Tesco!
I have plenty of cello cones left from last Christmas, have filled with a glow in the dark skeleton, split two huge bags of ozzie eyeballs from the pound shop (loads left) and tied with a ribbon and scary tag!

I think they are great, i made one for my Halloween obsessed mate in work (who loved it) and another friend has requested if i could make one for her son as they are super cute and i agree!

Lastly i made this little hanging decoration (sorry not a great picture)

They are little bits or bods shall we call them that came on my over half Christmas pressie - a remote control car - they fixed the wheels in place (yes he is over 30 i know!). I was going to bin them but they made me think of Witches hats - so some star stickers and silver cord...job done, however i wish i had more lol
 .

Sorry for the long post

Will save the Pumpkins for next time!

Hello Bloggers

I have put my Halloween makes to one side this week and caught up on a few Christmas Cards,
 ONLY 73 MORE SLEEPS!.

Last year i left them all to last minute and was sick to the sight of christmas cards by the time i finished, however this year im doing ok (behind with my plan but ok).

Here are a few from the past few days....

This is form me Cousin who LOVES me to you, the background is a cardborad envelope that i have cut down to make a card base, the tatty teddy is raised on some foam pads, some sparkles - Done.

Again a tatty teddy, the image as previous is a purchased card from the sale cut down - the picture is my otherhalf to a tee - stuffed after a mince pie binge, lol.
Just for a change i decided to make an easel card, broke out my forever friend christmas stamps (sale bargain last year) and got out the heat gun i had forgotten about for some embossing!.

Lastly two cards for the children to give each other - the same but not so they cant moan. Tamsin's big sister card has a more pink toned backing paper/ rub on and Morgan's little brother card is more bright red/green traditional - although the photo is not the best. I now LOVE good old brown packing paper - im sure this will seen more in future projects!!

Hope your all doing well with your Chirstmas crafts

Remember this?

Hello Bloggers,

I HATE MONDAY MORNINGS!

Anyways, remember this.....

This is the smarties tube that my cousin raided my stash to decorate for her Majorette challenge - she had to decorate the tube then fill it with raised funds.

She came over with a plan in her head to make the tube into a Majorette, complete with baton - she did all the work i just helped her with the supplies.

She told me this week SHE CAME FIRST in the competition!!.

Paige was so pleased, she won a bar of chocolate and five pounds!

I heart Etsy

Hello Bloggers,

I have discovered Etsy - could get lost for hours looking through the site :)

I have just bought this kit.....

from followthepapertrail. I love the Halloween in Wonderland paper and i am sooooo excited for it to arrive.

The aim is to make an Alice version of this house for Halloween....

my Daughter loves Alice in wonderland (me too)!

If you are not a follower already hop on over to Laura's blog. She has some AMAZING projects.

I made her super cute Sunburst Mini. I have mine with a Christmas Theme for last years Christmas Elf photos and to keep a record all the naughty little things 'snowtoes' got up to while he was here on holiday - i do hope he comes back this year!! I was VERY pleased with the outcome and plan to make more.

The Christmas tree is made from a HUGE amount of punched flowers, folded in half and layered, (i think the white bits of the double sided paper peeping through looks like snow) i had to cover the tree with glossy accents to keep it all in place and sparkle some. Not my idea either :( i found a tutorial on youtube.

Thank you Laura!

Halloween

Hello Bloggers,

I thought i had the hang of this blogging lark but how long since my last post!?

I love this time of year, bye bye summer - hello children's birthday's, Halloween, Bonfire night and CHRISTMAS!!

This post is full to the brim with pic's - I have been creating a Halloween mini album and I LOVE how it has turned out. I plan to fill it with pictures of the children dressed up for trick or treating. I wish the UK celebrated Halloween like America i cant wait to make the house spooktacula for the children :)

How cute are these...

For my mini album I used the Haunted kit from My Minds Eye, rub ons from Basic Grays Eire collection, making memories brass embellishments and the skeleton/rose on the cover is from Sainsbury's.

The covers are chipboard, the pages are black card stock - i could have gone on and on but literally ran out of paper have a few scraps and i mean scraps left.

I added a pair of acetate pages to make best use of the rub ons and tried to add a good few pockets in the album for me to journal or place hidden pictures.

The kit came with a Halloween countdown and pre made tags for Tamsin to help me fill in - such as how many treats they collected, what they both dressed up as and why they loved Halloween.

I love how this page frames the house with the rub on tree and spooky bats.

I have left plenty of room through the album for photos.

i LOVE this paper collection, i am very tempted to buy another kit - some of the paper is flocked and some of the images such as the witch, spiders, crow and house have a great added texture.
