A card for my step father

This is a card i made last night for my step father, im sure he will find it very funny!!

I used the papers, ribbons and mosaic gems form the Jan DoCrafts goodie bag.

Me to You Exploding Box

As i have mentioned before my cousin is a HUGE fan of all things Me to You.

I recently bought a me to you pack from Argos and spent the day putting this exploding box together for her birthday. I like it that much i think its going to be hard to part with, lol!

The papers are either from the me to you kit, or from my recent Forever Friends purchase. Its very pink, purple and full of butterflies and flowers and gems.

I like driving in my car

So while my Daughter was occupied in her craft box and My lil man was having a cap nap i couldn't resist a play with my new bits ans pieces.

So what do you think??

I have been wanting to make an acetate card for a while. My decoupage FF in his sports car is attached to the acetate, behind is some paper from the pack with a little strip at the bottom that looks just like the road. I added a few greetings, wouldn't be a card without sparkles added three Small squares - sort of blokey to the top corner. Had to add the big '30' he won't be impressed at the reminder but its a landmark for us (mine nxt mth!)

I was worried it would look a bit messy but am very please with how it looks so i may have to do a few more in this style!!

Shopping!

I have loved looking at all the blog updates of late with peoples shopping finds! Some great baring hunters in blog land.

Today i went to HobbyCraft for the FIRST TIME!! Wasn't what i was expecting but still spent a fortune, i think i prefer the range but it would be rude to leave with nothing, right?!

I bought some Forever Friends goodies, decoupage for men and i find male cards so hard and have a Birthday coming up next week i need to sort out. I also bought a Forever Friends 'Especially for you collection' very girly and i am thinking i may dig into that to finish of the Kids card to nanny for Mothers day. I could leave the gorgeous papers that match!!

I found some Acetate, i love acetate and desperately NEEDED to be creative last night with an acetate card i mind and i had all gone - Grrrr!!!! All stocked up again now!

I found some Papermania alphamania stickers that i can never find in the Range.

Some little embellishments and die cut greetings and some other bits and bobs just fell into the basket, ooooppps!!! but i NEEDED them as i have changed a few bits on the expanding box i blogged as few days ago and started a new maze book as i decided i didn't like the first on i also blogged a few days ago.

Is it too early to put the children to bed so i can sit and create??

Mini Maze Book

I have not been able to keep out of the DoCrafts website lately. One of the new preview clips to show what the new creativity club will offer shows a tutorial for a mini maze book. I watched in amazement at how on 12x12 sheet of paper could make this cute little book, so i headed straight up to the box of tricks to have a go.

I'm thinking of giving it to my auntie in place of a card as she appreciates things a little different and loves all things homemade.

I am not that happy with it yet, good thing her birthday is not until July, plenty of time to fiddle and ponder some changes.

exploding box

The Exploding box has been on my list for soooooo long, i finally thought i would try to make one for Mother's Day. My mother loves the colour gold and i bought the current Docrafts goodie bag - Light when on in my head!!.

I should give a Direct thank you to the blogger who posted a guide to make the exploding box out of a4 card recently - although my son is 18 mths i still have pregnancy brain, sine having kids cant remember anything like i used to - anyone find that??

I thought it would be a nightmare, i have issues cutting straight lines so was not looking forward to all the measurements to work out but surprisingly i was easy to get the basic layout, the hardest bit was decorating it!!

I still think it needs something but not sure - opinions please?!

(excuse the hairband holding up the layers for the photo's.

Me To You

I couldn't resist any longer, a mad dash to Argos later and i had to have a tinker straight away.

My Cousin adores me to you, i have made the easel card with her in mind but im not that happy with it so may go back and fiddle.

The blue tall card is for my son, Morgan. I just love that one.

Have loads of bits left so will be some more to show soon im sure!!
