Another Mothers Day Card

I recently had a wander to our local garden centre, inside i found a Works!! I was sooooooo happy, i love a nosey around the works for a bargain or two.

I found some albums for £5 that came with papers, vellums, stickers in the form of letters, frames, picture corners, and words such as Family, Memories and sweet little verses.

The plan is to do a album of the old photos i have from my childhood. BUT...I pinched a few papers and stickers to make this card for my Nan for mothers day.

Digging in the photo box i found a picture of her at my Mothers and Fathers wedding, am 29 and they married before i was conceived so it must be over 30 years old! I wanted something traditional and the papers were a great match for what i had in my mind.

I framed the picture with the stickers, layered it onto some card and have it stuck on with foam pads, i added a flower sticker to the bottom left and a panel that reads Happy Mothers Day with the letters to the right. Was missing a little something however i found fabric flowers to match in my box of bits. Inside i have added some coordinating velum as an insert to make the card that extra special.

I hope she likes it, she hates pictures of herself but i think she looks FAB!!

Mothers Day card for Nan

This is a card that i made with the Forever Friends pack that i recently bought at Hobbycraft. I really like these kits where everything you need is included! So i didn't have to pull everything out to pack it all away again before i could get into bed! i just had my little kit with me on the sofa to craft while watching the soaps. I so need a craft room!!

The white panel at the front is glitter card, does anyone have any tips for getting things to sick to this without falling back off - nightmare!!

This children will be giving this to my Mother on Mothers Day.

Touch up's

After pondering my Mother Day Exploding box, i decided to go back and play with the centre. I found inspiration form the gallery at DoCrafts website and 'borrowed' the idea of pop up flowers, since taking the picture i have gone back and added a small orange butterfly to one of the acetate strips so it looks like he is flying to the flower. I am please with in now and will stop fiddling!!

A card for my step father

This is a card i made last night for my step father, im sure he will find it very funny!!

I used the papers, ribbons and mosaic gems form the Jan DoCrafts goodie bag.

Me to You Exploding Box

As i have mentioned before my cousin is a HUGE fan of all things Me to You.

I recently bought a me to you pack from Argos and spent the day putting this exploding box together for her birthday. I like it that much i think its going to be hard to part with, lol!

The papers are either from the me to you kit, or from my recent Forever Friends purchase. Its very pink, purple and full of butterflies and flowers and gems.

I like driving in my car

So while my Daughter was occupied in her craft box and My lil man was having a cap nap i couldn't resist a play with my new bits ans pieces.

So what do you think??

I have been wanting to make an acetate card for a while. My decoupage FF in his sports car is attached to the acetate, behind is some paper from the pack with a little strip at the bottom that looks just like the road. I added a few greetings, wouldn't be a card without sparkles added three Small squares - sort of blokey to the top corner. Had to add the big '30' he won't be impressed at the reminder but its a landmark for us (mine nxt mth!)

I was worried it would look a bit messy but am very please with how it looks so i may have to do a few more in this style!!

Shopping!

I have loved looking at all the blog updates of late with peoples shopping finds! Some great baring hunters in blog land.

Today i went to HobbyCraft for the FIRST TIME!! Wasn't what i was expecting but still spent a fortune, i think i prefer the range but it would be rude to leave with nothing, right?!

I bought some Forever Friends goodies, decoupage for men and i find male cards so hard and have a Birthday coming up next week i need to sort out. I also bought a Forever Friends 'Especially for you collection' very girly and i am thinking i may dig into that to finish of the Kids card to nanny for Mothers day. I could leave the gorgeous papers that match!!

I found some Acetate, i love acetate and desperately NEEDED to be creative last night with an acetate card i mind and i had all gone - Grrrr!!!! All stocked up again now!

I found some Papermania alphamania stickers that i can never find in the Range.

Some little embellishments and die cut greetings and some other bits and bobs just fell into the basket, ooooppps!!! but i NEEDED them as i have changed a few bits on the expanding box i blogged as few days ago and started a new maze book as i decided i didn't like the first on i also blogged a few days ago.

Is it too early to put the children to bed so i can sit and create??
