A pressie for Nan

Hello Bloggers,

I usually run my creations by my nan as she likes to see what I've been doing.

She made a comment when i showed her my mums Birthday word book (that i posted a while back) that she would like one. I was planning it for Christmas but felt bad making her wait so long!! so i turned it into a 'Just because' pressie.

I recently ordered some prints, i made her a 'brag book' with some of the duplicates that she was going to be given anyway. The book contains all her grandchildren, plus me and my mum on the back.

She loved it and had a tear in her eye bless her....

I picked Purple as its her favourite colour but tried to keep it simple as it is only a small book from the Papermania basics range. Also the papers from Henbury Lane are so cute and some have glitter accents, i didn't want to hide all the gorgeous patterns.

I have used some die cuts, bling and butterflies to decorate but mainly glitter transfers - i love them!! need more!! for 99p in the sale as shown in my last shopping post i am annoyed with myself for not stocking up :(

What have i been working on?

Hello Bloggers,

As you may be able to tell i am getting a little obsessed with mini albums.

This one is for ME!!

I found the idea behind it on youtube. The plan is to incorporate your favourite style of cards into the album. I have a page with an adaption of the tri fold cards, a page that is again interactive with a small waterfall, there will be pockets, acetate pages and loads of embellishments.

I am looking for it to be a 'my favourite things' album, for me to look back and reminisce in years to come - maybe build a collection and add another album to the series every few years.

Here are some sneak peeks of work in progress....

I have however today had to put it to one side as i seem to get a block every time i try to work on it, then i get frustrated with myself as nothing looks right when i try to place things, so may be a LONG project!

Its starting to feel alot like CHRISTMAS

Hello Bloggers,

I have made a few more Christmas cards for my box. At this rate I'm going to be singing Jingle Bells soon then my other half will def think I'm mad!.

I have used mainly recycled bits from last years Christmas cards.

I stuck the tree to an acetate panel to make it look like a window, super cute tree.

Love the little Robins!!

I made this out of acetate but didn't think over where i am going to write the message! But i love it as it is and do not want to fiddle with it so may keep it as an extra decoration of some sorts.

Countdown to Christmas

OK so we are in month 8 not long until CHRISTMAS

Last year i left all Christmas card making till December and was SO sick of Christmas cards by the time i finished i thought i would make a start.

Hope i still like them when the are needed!!

This is an A4 card i put together for my grandparents from the children.

I just love decoupage!!

I found this in the sale bin at the Range earlier in the year and stashed it away, I forgot all about it until my recent clear out - oops!. It was some ridiculous price and i just love it, great thing is plently of extras in the kit to make a good few smaller cards!

Daughters Birthday

Hello Bloggers,

I am loving all this craft time i have managed to get recently!. Like Mother like Daughter, Tamsin enjoys getting out her craft box and making special pictures with Mummy - Bless her!.

However while she was in bed the other night and to subside that - I NEED to make a card urge, i set about her birthday card. Her birthday is not until October but i wanted to have a play with the Forever Friends A4 card kit i picked up a few weeks ago.

Here is the card...

I have added some bling.

Tamsin has Forever Friends wall stickers in her bedroom and loves the ballerina and I just LOVE Forever Friends, super cute!.

I was very pleased that the kit had plenty of extras so i should get another good few cards out of the remainder.
